About Our Instructors
Tony Hands (Chief Instructor)
I first started training in martial arts around 1982, doing Escrima and kickboxing.
When that club closed I started in Japanese jiu-jitsu, sometime around 1989, getting my 1st Dan in 1998.
Whilst still doing jiu-jitsu I started training in Kalis Ilustrisimo, which is a bladed art as opposed to the more popular stick arts.
Over the years I had been introduced to Bob Breen and his JKD/Kali system but didn’t train consistently with him until about 2015, gaining my black belt with him in 4D Combat.
Always having had an interest in ground fighting from Japanese jiu jitsu and Judo i have been training Brazilian jiu jitsu under Arlans Siqueira on and off for many years.
